Annual Eat Before You Treat Party

Last night, I co-hosted the annual Eat Before You Treat party with my wonderful friend (who set up this amazing shindig).  We spent the late afternoon eating and visiting with friends while the munchkins snacked and played before trick-or-treating.  We had a blast seeing the kids dressed up in their cute little costumes and the mom paparazzi went to town taking pictures.  In case you haven't tried, getting 10 toddlers to look forward while taking pictures is near impossible.  We did manage to snap a few good ones despite the weird faces, fingers in noses, fingers in other kid's noses, and "I'm not smiling no matter how crazy you act, lady" stares.  After a bowl of warm chili for the adults and mummy hot dogs for the kiddos, we all dispersed to do some trick-or-treating.  It was such a great night, that my 2 year old insisted throughout the day that we must go trick-or-treating again tonight.

Menu:
White cheddar popcorn with gummy worms
Sugar Cone Witches' Hats (find the recipe here
Jack-o-lantern veggie platter
Ghosts marshmallow pops
Mummy hot dogs
Monster juice boxes (find the tutorial here
Candy corn fruit cups (pineapple, mandarin oranges, and whip cream topping)
Sweet potato chips
Chili with toppings (sour cream, shredded cheese, etc.)
